Yellow Grease

Yellow grease is produced in established rendering industries through a recognized rendering process. It is typically comprised of UCO and often contains rendered low quality animal fats such as tallow, poultry or lard. Part of the rendering process is high heating for a period of time sufficient to sterilize the product. Generally yellow grease and used cooking oil are the lowest priced fats when compared to fresh oils and animal fats.
